All eyes will be centre stage at Open Hearth Park in Sydney on July 12, 13 and 14 as an impressive array of music and family fun activities are offered at Rotary Ribfest 2024.

This year’s event features musicians from across various genres providing a selection of music for all including acoustic, kitchen party and traditional.

Also returning for another year are the Kids Fun Zone and the Rotary Ribfest Annual Fun Run with many other activities planned. So come on down and enjoy!

Cape Breton University’s 50th Anniversary Tent

While at Ribfest don’t forget to stop by the CBU Tent and take part in the family fun as they celebrate their 50th anniversary as an independent post-secondary institution. Activities include:

  • A fun “Spin the Wheel” for Children’s Prizes
  • Alumni will have ballots for a large CBU themed basket
  • Cornhole games
  • Large Connect Four games
  • Come visit Capers Athletics with Capers in the Community Saturday 1pm – 3pm and Sunday 11am – 1pm

Rotary Ribfest Annual Fun Run

We’re back!!  Shake off those dusty sneakers for the Rotary RibFest Annual 5km Fun Run!  The trail at Open Hearth Park is both flat, scenic, and the perfect run for those finishing up Learn to Run programs and an excellent interim run for those training for longer distances.

This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the United Way of Cape Breton and the Rotary Clubs of the CBRM.
